So I bought this bike 15 years ago not running. I was living in a Chicago Suburb and drove deep into Michigan to purchase the bike. The guy told me it wouldn't start so I bought it with the intention of having it fixed. Long story short, the bike sat in a heated garage for 13 years. I moved to Vegas, and went to my local Honda dealer and we got into a conversation and he recommended a top engine builder for the 500. After 13 years I dropped it off to the shop, they told me a old race engine builder was willing to do all the work on it ( I should have asked for the guys name, because they said he was one of the top builders that's now retired and just does it for fun).
Paid $1,787.50 for a completely rebuilt engine.
Bike runs amazing. Starts 1st kick.

I have maybe 2 hours on the bike since all the work has been done. I was trying to show off to my son and went into a corner to hot and she flung me. Bike was fine, but I landed on a rock and broke a rib... so once again the bike sat. Now my son is racing motocross so we are at the track every weekend. I have never ridden motocross. I grew up riding on a farm, so I rode trails and corn fields, so the bike is still sitting because I don't have the confidence to take it on a track with its powerband. I'm new to jumping and terrified, I'm also 45 years old... so not a risk taker.

I'm not going to give the bike away dirt cheap. I would rather keep it and let it be garage art. I'm gonna have to pay taxes on this sale through ebay so it's not a profit by any means. If you want a super clean Cr500R that was stored for 13 years in a heated garage in a time capsule this is your bike.

Feel free to ask any questions. This is for local pickup.
For payment... Cash, Bitcoin. I don't feel comfortable with a check or cashiers check because I listed this bike before and I received all kinds of Money Orders and I found out there are tons of scams with Money Orders. You understand I feel like I have a very special bike, and would crush me if I got scammed after taking care of this bike for 15 years. It's been a part of the family for a long time now.
