FOR SALE: THE U.S. MILITARY HISTORIC STAMP COLLECTION - COMPLETE SET

This historical set, issued by The American Military Institute in 1981, was originally available only through mail order. The set contains 50 cards.

This is a 3-part set, which not only includes 50 different pre-1950s stamps, but each stamp is attached (in a plastic sleeve) to a card that contains the detailed description of an historical military event. The set is broken down into 3-part: 18^th Century, 19^th Century and 20^th Century.

Each card is beautifully illustrated and places historic context to the stamp attached. Each stamp itself is a collector’s item, and it is encased in a small plastic sleeve and can be removed from the card. The front of the cards illustrate the military event with beautiful artwork and the back of the card describes the event and the relationship to the stamp.

The cards are maintained in a collector’s case which came with the collection. Events range from the Civil War in the 18^th Century to The Treaty of Versaille in the 20^th Century. The stamps range from 2 cents to 25 cents, and all are in great condition.
