Tony Barber, Vince Melouney, John ‘Bluey’ Watson and Colin Baigent were the original AZTECS formed in 1963 as an instrumental surfing music band. In 1964 Billy Thorpe joined the group, which then became known as BILLY THORPE & THE AZTECS.

The members of the original band have reformed to record this historic album dedicated to the memory of Billy, and joined by Harry Young on lead vocals they give a new twist to their early hits, plus some brand new songs.
