The reverse of the medal features the iconic portrait of Fidel Castro, a Cuban politician who, along with Ernesto Che Guevara, led the Cuban Revolution, overthrowing the authoritarian regime of Fulgencio Batista and establishing a socialist government in Cuba. On the reverse, the inscriptions: "FIDEL CASTRO" - the name of the revolutionary and "1926 BIRAN 2016 HAVANA" – the year and country of Fidel Castro's's birth and death.
