Artist: Michael Little Elk - Lakota-Sioux (1950-2012)

A rare and magical vintage art piece by the late Michael Little Elk, celebrated artist whose innovative jewelry sculptures are exhibited in the collections of the Smithsonian and held in private collections of fine art. 

This twirling warrior - caught in the frenzy of ceremonial dance rites - evokes the ancient ways and religious rites of Native Americans.
 Sterling silver and gold, pendant/pin is signed M L Elk 14K. On fabulous vintage Native American handmade sterling silver geometric/pyramidal bead necklace - a perfect pairing. Pendant/pin has shepherds hook for hanging, and can be slipped off necklace to wear alone or with another necklace. Strung on chain, necklace can be hooked into chain to wear shorter or longer - see 2 photos. Pin mechanism works perfectly.
