Handmade, lovely antique blouse dates to the early 1900's. Delicate genuine silk in ivory with hand embroidered design at front and back. Fine, detailed Chinese embroidery features a dragon & phoenix with flowers and foliage. I'm not sure if this piece was originally created as a blouse or made into one from another textile. It is an over the head fit with short, draped notched sleeves with gathers at shoulder. Rounded neckline and loose blousey fit through body. It has a gathered hem ~ I can't tell if originally it was stretchy elastic or string however it does not have any give or stretch now. It wears as pictured with a very slightly more fitted styling at hem and is a little longer at back. Long enough to tuck into a waistband or can be worn left out as shown. I have carefully steam cleaned this lovely antique piece and while delicate, it is sturdy enough to wear with care. There are some light under arm marks as pictured and a large but faint stain at back right side. Please see all photos. Presents beautifully and is priced accordingly. This is a beautiful piece to wear or add to a collection for display / reference. Measurements listed below are maximum fit in order to get in /out of the blouse, and its should have a loose draped fit as pictured. Recommended US women's size small.
