The Gibson SG Modern incorporates a number of modern specifications that Gibson players have been seeking in recent years.
It goes beyond the framework of a solid guitar with its roots in classical design, and is designed as a new innovation that falls between an SG and a Les Paul.

The body is shaped like the classic SG of yesteryear, with the same AA maple top and mahogany back as the Les Paul.
The 24-fret compound radius fingerboard made of ebony material and the asymmetrical slim taper neck allow for smooth fingering all the way to the highest fret.
The two calibrated Burstbucker Pro Alnico V humbucker pickups are extremely powerful, and the push-pull control allows instant switching from humbucker sound to single-coil sound.
The sounds of both instruments have transcended generations since their invention by Gibson, and have contributed to the birth and development of all genres of music.
A faded color that brings out the wood grain, mother-of-pearl inlays, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners, and clear top hat knobs give it a more modern and sophisticated look.

The sound character of the maple top and mahogany body, the high playability due to modern specs, and the looks that are not tied to Gibson's history.
As a next-generation SG that has the luxury of technology from Gibson's golden age to the present day, it will meet the needs of many players.
