This listing is for one incomplete HPI Baja 5b for parts, restoration, or rebuild. The buggy assembly that you see is what you'll get. This is an all original HPI assembly. All parts are HPI brand. The original quality control sticker is still on the underside of the roof plate. The assembly is nearly ready to run. All that's needed to return it to driveable condition is installation of the radio gear, servos, and the tire/wheel assemblies. The chassis is straight and has never been bent. The carburetor and engine function and run as they should. All four 6mm shock shafts appear to be straight. The shocks compress and extend without binding, but the oil is low at all four corners. To be certain that the shocks provide peak performance, they should be rebuilt, although I don't think they need it right away. As previously mentioned, no servos or electronics are included except for the on/of switch. The switch works. The transmission, differential, and all four wheel hub assemblies roll smoothly. The clutch carrier bearings roll well enough to run, but there is a slight squeak. Those bearings don't feel gritty, but for best performance, one or both bearings may need to be replaced. You could probably get away with pulling the seals and oiling or greasing the bearings. The chassis was slightly modified by creating a finger relief on the left side in order to make it easier to toggle the on/off switch. The radio box cover was also modified by routing a hole in the middle to provide an alternative location for routing servo wires or additional wires from installation of lights or aftermarket engine kill switch, etc...
