For your consideration is a lot of three Corn King and Corn Queen bowls.  In 1941 Shawnee Pottery started manufacturing Corn Ware, but until 1946 the corn was white and there were other less obvious differences.  From 1941 until 1946, Corn Ware was only given away as a Proctor and Gamble premium.  In 1946 Shawnee Pottery changed the color and size of Corn Ware; they also made Corn Ware available to the general public, introduced new products and named the new line Corn King.  For a while, the sales of Corn King were good, but by 1954 they had become dismal.  In 1954 minor changes were to design, the product line was expanded, marketing intensified and the line was renamed Corn Queen.  Corn Queen was a hit and was still being produced when Shawnee Pottery went out of business in 1961.

All three of these bowls were part of the Corn King and Corn Queen Lines.

The pictures of each bowl are separated by pictures of the bottom of each bowl.
