Unflinching account of Jeff 'Stinky' Turners' life so far. Lots of highs: record deals, Top Of The Pops at fifteen years old (twice), touring the length & breadth of the country with your mates etc. and plenty of lows. Despite the attentions of the National Front at their gigs , various arrests & more violence than you could shake a stick at (after reading this he's probably the last person you'd want to shake a stick at!!) Mr Turner emerges as one of lifes' proper survivors .
Occasionally you think 'settle down & stop clocking people' but it's also inspiring in that he never gives up & does it on his own terms. Anyone who grew-up in the early 80's will find a lot to love in this book.
How many books can boast contributions from Morrissey (foreward) & ghost-writing from Garry Bushell?!
