Houston Astros Tal's Hill Minute Maid Park Game Used Dirt Jar
Tal's Hill Removed Following the 2016 Season

*** MLB Authenticated ***

You are bidding on a jar of dirt from Tal's Hill in the center field of Minute Maid park.  Tal's Hill was named after long time Houston Baseball executive Tal Smith.  The hill was a unique and iconic land mark in center field of Minute Maid Park.  The "hill" was in the stadium from 2000 to 2016.  Following the 2016 season, the Astros completed a remodel of the centerfield seating and entertainment area that included moving in the outfield fence and removing the hill.  This dirt was from the actual hill in center field.

This dirt was collected from the hill on October 11, 2016 in 5 gallon buckets.  The dirt was later packaged, labeled, and individually authenticated in 2021.  Each bottle includes the commemorative label and authentication.  Each bottle has a unique MLB Authentication hologram and may be different than what is pictured.

This was purchased from the Houston Astros and Astros Authentics program.  The authenticity is guaranteed by MLB.
