Just at the conclusion of the Second World War, there was a push to stimulate visitors to France and in this image we are focused on the Provence region in the south of France. The image portrays some of the charm and color to be found in the area. The use of fruit and the view from the balcony is reminiscent of images created by Picasso and Matisse. The image does stimulate the viewer's thoughts of visiting the area of the Riviera and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Created for the SNCF ( French Railways) this is the French text.
