generous 39.8 x 55 cm [15¾" x 21½"], with wide margins.
- The map is titled in the legend Carte
De La Sibérie ou Russie D'Asie.

Major, Paris 1841. chez P.C. Lehuby, Rue de Seine No. 53.
- Topography is drawn in relief, and there are hundreds of
place names and two distance scales.
- There's an excellent early treatment of Alaska
and part of the Aleutian chain, including Amchitka, Shemya, and Attu.
- Condition: The map is in excellent
condition, with a bold, crisp impression, a vertical
center fold, as issued, and no rips or tears. It is
printed on a heavy paper and is blank on the back, with no printing on
the reverse side.

and engraver. He was a colonel in the French army, where he worked in
the corps of topographical engineers.
