Incredibly beautiful antique blouse! Stunning design & hand sewn construction, in high end silks and hand painted buttons. Miraculously it still has all 16 buttons and they are in excellent condition. Handmade of real mother of pearl shell, delicately painted with a tiny butterfly & grass design. Gorgeous bold Persian blue silk taffeta and a textured, stitched pattern pale gold silk fabric. The blouse has long tapered sleeves with blue at cuffs, princess seamed boned waist, and tailored fit designed to be worn with a corset. Long tails at back with an intricate folded fabric design. For its age and delicate materials, it is in lovely condition overall. There are a few stitches out at right side of collar, and light staining to each armpit as shown. The fabric is sturdy with no shattering or smells, however I would recommend this beautiful piece go to a collector to preserve it and enjoy, as wearing it is possible but might cause damage to it. It's a truly stunning piece of antique clothing!
