This is a attaché case or briefcase carried by a traveling salesman probably around the 1930s or 40s. It has the initials EL on front that either was the salesman’s initials or the name of the company. This is a very unique bag it has a front pouch that could’ve been used to hold papers as well as a top compartment that opens from a flap on the top, and a second compartment that is separate on the bottom that is opened via flap on the side. The bottom compartment is made of wood, and would probably have held a sample of whatever the salesman was selling. This is in remarkable condition, considering it age, the handle is in great condition and, the exterior and interior are very clean. It is free from musty smells and overall beautiful considering age. Please see photos for full condition.
