A Tiny Amethyst Glass Cameo on Large Sparkling Rhinestones Arrow Necklace Face Forward Cameo w/ Flowers in Hanging Tendrils in e 1910 Glass Cameo OOAK One Of A Kind!
Just Beautiful!
All I did here was replace a center rhinestone in large 1930s brooch with a 1910 gorgeous face forward amethyst 3/4" cameo.
I purchased these unused molded glass cameos (30+) from a closed in 1910 Paris Workshop . They are beautiful, rare & great. This is heavy thick glass. I added cameo to large 2 3/4" Rhinestone Brooch setting & silver tone 20" necklace. To see the others go to my "1910 Glass Cameo" section on left of my shop.
These cameos are a Classic example of early 1900s traditional French Pate de verre, the artist mixed crushed glass with enamels or paint to form a paste that was carefully placed in a mold, Displaying belle epoque opulence. . Pate de verre gained renown as an art form by French artists Émile Gallé, Antonin Daum and Réné Lalique. The final result is a piece of sculpture that has a surface with a texture that is similar to that of fine sugar. Extreme amount of unblemished detail to this amethyst cameo with 4 flowers with leaves in her long curly hair. I have seen similar large cameos to this in diamond settings go for $16,400. ...
Rhinestone brooch is 2 3/4 " tall x 1 1/4" Wide Protrudes 3/4" figural face forward Cameo. Cameo itself is in mint unused condition.
