Lledo Vanguards 1/43 Scale Ford Consul Capri Coupe Die-Cast Car Model

Introduction:

You will be bidding on a 1:43 scale model of the Ford Consul Capri Coupe. This model was produced by Lledo as part of the Vanguards range. The Ford Consul Capri was a two-door coupe version of the Consul Classic saloon made by Ford of Britain. It took design elements of the contemporary Ford Thunderbird and Ford Galaxie models and was fitted with a variety of Ford Classic De-Luxe features including four headlights, variable speed wipers, front disc brakes and a cigar lighter. The first models were on sale from 1962.

This Model:

This model is a loose, stand alone model which does not come with a display base or case. The car is in good condition throughout, though one point of note is the small push-fit mirrors for the wing flanks are no longer present. Clean and presentable, ready to display.

Model Details:

Produced in a gloss red colour scheme with white roof and chrome trim, the car model captures the look of the Ford Consul Capri superbly inside and out with an interior finished in red featuring a black and chrome steering wheel, gear stick, handbrake, chrome detailing on the dash and front and rear seat cushion details. It also has nice and accurately produced body panels and panel lines on the exterior and finely produced smaller details such as chrome bumpers, a chrome and black front grille, silver door handles and a number of other details. It also has clear light lenses up front, red and orange rear lights, nicely produced silver wheel rims with chrome hub caps and rubber treaded tyres as well as a well applied paint scheme. It comes fitted with UK plates in the old white on black background style reading OYT 318 to complete the look, a really nice scale model of this classic 1960s car design.
