This vintage Rya Danish Mod rug is a true gem for any collector of Scandinavian culture. Its beautiful beige color and intricate design make it a stunning addition to any home decor. The rug is made of high-quality wool and was manufactured in the 1960s, making it a rare find for any antique enthusiast. The bicycle pattern adds a unique touch to the already exquisite piece. This rug is perfect for anyone looking to elevate their interior design with a piece of history. The Ege brand is well-known for producing high-quality rugs, and this one is no exception. Much probably EGE but early 60s, not BOOM 70s EGE. Don't miss your chance to own this one-of-a-kind vintage Rya Danish Mod rug.  Dimentions: 56 centimeters  x 49 centimeters  aproxi ✌️

One of the secrets of RYA making as our teacher told us: is that when finished you take it over a water boiling area to damp it so that  the wool expands like in this remarcable example. And the results are to be seen. Many Rya makers do not follow this step and the *hilos* are looking very thin, which is not desirable. This Rya has it perfect !

*Secret from our rya teacher*  THIS IS A TRUE 1960s Rya...Extremely RARE !!

A WALL rug, not a floor rug.
Some years ago an inexperienced amateur  buyer called  dave5288  bought from us a cat rya that is a wall rya and it has like all wall ryas a wooden list in the back, a sewn tunnel or something to hang on a wall. The buyer not knowing what the tree list was for,  thought it was a mistake, which is not and gave us a negative feedback without discussing anything further, just because of ignorance about the scandinavian reality. We want to avoid novices with no concience like this buyer. By the way...we blocked him forever. As we also had his address, we had also his neighbours adresses, to write them about him. Dave5288 paid.

This has a tree glued in back as tradition in Scandinavia!!   We do NOT sell Floor Ryas, only WALL Art.
