An Exceptional 9½ in German Fruitwood Trinket Box
Hand-carved, 19th c.

Marvel at the detail in this sublime chip-carved creation! This 19th c. German trinket box features delicate carvings of magnificent detail and intricacy! This lovely, casket-style piece sits on four turned legs, and hinges open. The original key is not present but is likely you can have one made.

This piece is unsigned. It came with a letter stating that it was sent from Germany to a collector in the United States. Its design is consistent with antique German pieces of the late 19th and early 20th c. The box is made from a softer wood such as fruitwood or basswood/linden.

Condition:

This antique wooden box is in EXCELLENT condition! There is some wear and minor chipping at the hinges and edges, the lid has a slight tilt, and the casket has a very minor rock, but the piece is otherwise very clean and exceptionally presentable.

Returns:

I accept a no-questions-asked money back return policy granted the request is made up to 30 days after the item arrives. I refund only the purchase price of the item and, if free return shipping is offered on the listing, the full return shipping. It is your responsibility to return the item to me in the same condition it was sent to you. If the item is returned in an inferior condition as to how it was sent, a full return might not be granted. New items that come back in an inferior condition or are removed from their original packaging will not be granted a full refund.
