Made by The Bronze Memorial Company,  Covington,  Kentucky,  circa 1933

Michael's Art Bronze Company manufactured a metal Ornamentation for a grave marker in 1933 and sent it to Mrs. Calvin Coolidge.  It was invented and designed by S.F. Britton, a resident of Park Hills, Kentucky and a Salesman for the Bronze Memorial Company.  It was an elaborate ornamental configuration that included a photo of the President burnt in porcelain and a bronze urn attached to a bronze base.  The piece is 10-3/4" tall.  Original Condition.  No Damage

This incredible piece is most likely a one-off piece prototype.  It is not known if Mrs. Coolidge actually used the urn or if any of these urns were actually sold.  If so, there most likely weren't many and what few there were are probably gone by now, 88 years later.  This was purchased about ten years ago in a small antique shop in Upper State New York.
