This all came from the same airman who belonged to 447th bomb group of the 8th Air Force during WWII.

Some pretty remarkable items here.

His original air medal (not named), pins, ribbons, photos, theater made knife, dog tags, letters, postcards, patches.

I purchased this directly from his grand child, and 3 of the papers (top) are copies because they wanted to hold onto something rather than nothing.

Remarkable grouping, it appears he served after the war also.

I’m not sure in what capacity his role was during WWII.

But there is a pretty darn neat photo of him and his aircrew in front of a Flying Fortress, with their 1911 pistols holstered in their unis probably before taking off to a mission.
