BRITISH NORTH BORNEO
An Account of its History, Resources and Native Tribes

by OWEN RUTTER

Originally published in 1922 this is the 2008 reprint published by Opus Publications in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia in August 2008

Includes a new introduction by Danny Wong Tze Ken.

The fascinating account of Borneo written at the beginning of the last century, by the versatile "scholar administrator", poet, novelist, travel writer, soldier, publicist, editor Owen Rutter.  Illustrated with reproduced black and white photos and a fold-out map at the rear, still very good.

Pre-owned with a little wear and evidence of use, but overall still in very good condition.  Hardback book with dust jacket.  Jacket is rubbed and a little scraped.  Some light edge wear - creasing, light scuffs.  Not clipped.  Pictorial paperboard covers with the same illustration, front and rear as on the dust jacket.  Very light bumping and scuffing to corners and spine ends.  Green end papers are good.  There are a few brief scorings in the text, mainly in the form of asterisks or the circling of a section number to highlight sentences or passages.  I noticed around a dozen such intrusions while leafing through.  Otherwise the pages look very good, clean and tight.  Overall the book is in very decent nick.
