Beautiful mid 1940s Minerva chronograph in large 35.3mm case with flat pushers, and snap on steel caseback. The watch works, balance moves freely as seen on the video. The stopwatch function is temperamental; can be engaged, stopped and reset, but not always returning to zero. From a quick look at the Valjoux 72 movement, the minute register spring has already been repaired and will probably need to be replaced with a new one. The watch is generally in good cosmetic condition, with signs of patina on the dial and will require a repair, serious cleaning and oiling. Hence sold as is, for repair or for parts. |
