PICASSO
Jean-Pierre PINCEMIN (1944-2005)

Astonished self-portrait

Painter, sculptor and engraver born in Romania in 1944 in Paris. JP Jacquemin began engraving in 1979, with dry points, engraved in Plexiglas, occasional pieces and illustrations. He published the series of 16 plates, “The Year of India”. He also works in wood and has produced monumental xylographs printed in acrylic. His engraved work currently numbers around a hundred pieces. It is, in fact, the painter-engravers who advance engraving... These artists never aim to reproduce the painting....They therefore deliver something completely different.
