A Hinged Trinket Box by Halcyon Days Enamels
Created after the British victory at the Falklands Islands, 1982

Here’s a rare find! This vintage hinged 2” enameled box was created by Halcyon Days of England to augment the South Atlantic Fund in 1982. The South Atlantic Fund was used as support for the Falklands War in 1982.

This pillbox has a quote by Margaret Thatcher on the top “Britan has a duty to the whole world … to uphold the cause of freedom” and has a map of the Falkland Islands under the lid. The inside of the box reads “The occupying Argentine forces surrendered to the British 14^th June 1982. The

Condition:

This pillbox is in EXCELLENT condition! It shows very few signs of use or wear and is free from major flaws, damage, and repair! There are a few, very minor white lines above the quote on the lid. These might have been from manufacture.

Returns:
