Incredible heavy horsehide double breasted leather police/mounted patrol coat/jacket with boiled wool lining, “P” metal buttons, and New York City “21” Patrol badge found attached to coat. “Genuine Front Quarter Horsehide Leather” label looks like its from the 1930s, 1940s or earlier.

Great condition for its age. Leather is sturdy but soft. There is one rip in the lining underarm area as shown. Some of the button holes have wear but work, and there are a couple holes where buttons were moved as shown but they can’t be seen when the jacket is closed. There is an area on one shoulder and another near the underarm where the seam has been repaired/ reinforced previously. Sold as is.

Jacket fits about a size 40/Medium. Outside measurements: 22” pit to pit, 18.5” shoulders, 24” sleeve, and 32” from back of collar to bottom.

Buyer pays shipping- jacket is heavy. Please check my other items for more great vintage.
