Artist Biography:


Noel Skiba is an award-winning, third-generation impressionistic painter. Born March 26, 1960, She works in a variety of mediums including acrylics, oils, watercolors, and mixed media. Her unique style features bright colors often in a chunky or impasto fashion. She captures a moment in time with her collection of impressionistic paintings using thick impasto layering and glazing in amazing color.

In terms of education and training, Noel attended Alpena Community College before earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kendall College of Art and Design. She also attended Aquinas College, majoring in illustration, with a minor in business. She offers Art Experience classes where she teaches art.

Noel has received numerous awards for her work. Some of her notable awards include winning the Mackinac Island Lilac Poster Award four times (2010, 2013, 2015, 2016), the Pigeon Key Poster Award twice, and the Celebration on the Grand Poster in Grand Rapids. Her artwork has been displayed in several prestigious locations, including the Gerald R Ford Presidential Museum, The National Archives, and the Jesse Besser Museum.

Her work is appreciated by clients and art collectors from around the globe, who often come to watch her paint or have a custom creation made. Noel Skiba’s art is a testament to her talent, dedication, and passion for capturing the beauty of the world around her.
