This is a 250 mm Scale painted bust depicting an Officer of the Anglo Zulu Wars of 1879.  Based upon information and a study by the Victorian Association he is wearing the Dark Blue Patrol Jacket and carying light equipment a Haversack, water flask and the Lanyard for his service revolver.  This bust will be supplied with a choice of service helmets one with the regimental badge removed and also a version with the badge fixed.

This is a relatively new bust from the Scale Collectables and is printed here in the UK and is currently available directly as a blank.  This is a 3D printed bust and apart from internal support bars is hollow, I have modified the head allowing for the "Drop on" fitting of the alternative helmet, it is held in place with a 6.0mm peg which fully fits into the Service Helmet of Choice.

This bust is a full traditional Bust and there are Photos of the rear as well. The piece measures 160 mm high from the foot of the base to the top of the Service Helmet, and 80 mm square plinth,  He is positioned 3/4 from square across the shoulders, which matches the width of the wooden plinth, making a nice sized bust overall. The Plinth is also fitted with a Regimental Badge matching the Service Helmet version and if using the non-badged version makes the piece easily recognisable.

The figure has been painted using acrylic paints and inks and is sympathetic towards the subject. Figure is taken from my own private collection.
