Why replacing electrolytic capacitors?
The replacement of the electrolytic capacitors is important, because these components contain electrolytic-liquid which dries out over the decades. (Other than tantalum or foil capacitors)
Because of this reason, electrolytic capacitors belong to the electrical components which must be replaced as first. They are generally responsible for the most defects in aged electrical circuits.
So the replacement of these parts should be carried out on each device and builds a solid base for any further revision or repair.
Details:
All parts are new and branded quality products. We use them successfully over many years for the revision of Revox equipment.
Brands of the capacitors: Panasonic / Vishay.
For the replacement of the capacitors, soldering equipment and good experience in soldering is needed.
The removal of the circuit boards from the unit and the soldering itself is not described in detail in the instructions.
