One of several bassoons we are offering for sale. This is a Linton Model 7K—an advanced student model with a high D and lots of rollers and keys not featured on the beginner 2K and lower 5K models, and perfect for introducing your students to some of the fingering options found on professional bassoons. The prior owner removed the whisper key lock on this one (and on several other Lintons we purchased from them) but the parts can be ordered from Fox and assembled by your local shop if you want your student to use it. The bassoon is in very good condition: no chips, cracks, or repairs to the crack-resistant ABS body, plating about 95% with a little wear mostly on the thumb key and a few posts. Leather pads in very good condition, and just back from the shop in April 2024 where it had a couple replaced, one new tenon cork, and was serviced and brought up into excellent playing condition. All of our palm rests were a little too big, but it does includes two bocals (a Linton V2 and a Linton *1), strap, and bocal snake. Comes in a very nice case with just a trace of the prior owner’s markings still visible on the exterior. A great US-made bassoon for your school’s band program, or a practice bassoon to keep at home!

Purchases: We strive to be accurate and detailed in our descriptions. If you have any questions or concerns about a listing, please ask questions prior to bidding. Photographs are considered a binding part of an item description.
Shipping: Items are shipped after receipt and clearance of your payment. We try to ship far ahead of the handling time listed in the auction. Note that with international shipping, not all countries provide door-to-door tracking; therefore, buyer assumes full liability for item after leaving the United States.
Returns: We have zero unhappy customers, and we have offered hassle-free returns for almost twenty years. Unfortunately, due to rampant abuse of eBay's automated returns, and since PayPal no longer refunds sales fees, we have had to revise our return policy. (1) If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact us PRIOR to initiating a return via eBay and allow us to address your concerns. Many items such as clarinets and oboes come out of adjustment during the shipping process, and can be easily tweaked by your local technician. We are happy to talk you through this process. (2) Items may be returned for any reason at your expense within seven days of receipt for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping and eBay fees, which are not refundable. If on receipt we are able to verify the item to be significantly different than described, we will additionally refund original shipping, PayPal fees, and your return shipping to maximum of $30.00.
