Super Malacca and sterling silver walking stick or cane.
The pommel to the top is silver, hallmarked for the Birmingham assay office with the date letter for 1898. Repousse and engraved decoration with the initials GC to the top.
The shaft is Malacca which is a fibrous wood and is strong enough to support a good weight.
The silver is in good condition with no splits or holes but numerous dinks you can see.
The ferrule is original and made of brass and steel. has a split to the side but is stable so we've left the original in place for authenticity.
It measures 91.5 cm 36 inches in length, the pommel is 3.8 cm 1 1/2 inches wide and 3.8 cm 1 1/2 long.
It's in good condition for it's age but with some signs of age and use as you'd expect.
No damage, other than dinks in the silver or repairs to any part of the cane.
Perfect for an every day cane.
