This fine antique or vintage handwoven Native American covered basket is from the Tonoho O'odham Papago tribe of the American Southwest.  It is coil woven and features intermittent red and charcoal colored woven decorations (faded on exterior but bright on interior).  The basket is 7 3/4" in diameter x 4" tall.  The covered opening is 4 1/2" in diameter. The basket is in excellent antique condition.  I believe it dates to the mid 20th c.
