Description: Titanic Captain Edward J. Smith Signed Discharge Document from White Star Liner, 1896
Document signed by Captain Edward J. Smith, official "Certificate of Discharge" issued by England's Mercantile Marine Office, relieved Smith of his nearly year-long duty as Captain upon the S.S. Majestic, owned by the White Star Line. The document is dated 24 December 1896 and bears an official stamp by the "M.M. Office" in Liverpool. With a Certificate of Authenticity by Nate D. Sanders, Los Angeles. Also included are two printed photographs of Captain Smith and the grand staircase of the Titanic.
