Diese Silbermünze ist dem 125. Jubiläum der australischen Prägestätte The Perth Mint gewidmet und wurde aus einer Unze 99,99% reinem Silber in Polierter Platte geprägt. Zum feierlichen Anlass wurden die bekanntesten Münzserien der Prägestätte auf einem Motiv vereint. Zu sehen sind das australische Känguru, der australische Koala sowie der weltbekannte Kookaburra vor einem Flechtwerk bestehend aus Australiens nationalem Blumenemblem. Eine Schriftrolle mit der Aufschrift "1899 THE PERTH MINT 2024", sowie das Gewicht, die Feinheit, das Ausgabejahr und das Mintmark „P125“ zum Jubiläum komplettieren das Design. Die Rückseite präsentiert das Dan Thorne Bildnis von König Charles III. sowie den Nennwert der Münze.
Die Perth Mint wurde am 20. Juni 1899 auf dem Höhepunkt des westaustralischen Goldrausches eröffnet und spielte als Produzent von raffiniertem Gold eine wichtige Rolle bei der Entwicklung der Wirtschaft Westaustraliens. Im Jahr 1989 prägte die Perth Mint zum ersten Mal eine Münze mit dem australischen Känguru, ursprünglich als "Australian Nugget" bekannt. Dieses Münzprogramm zählt auch heute noch zu den beliebtesten bei Sammlern und Anlegern. Spätere Ergänzungen des offiziellen australischen Bullionmünzenprogramms sind der australische Kookaburra und der australische Koala. Die Auflage ist auf 7.500 Exemplare weltweit limitiert. This silver coin is dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Australian mint, The Perth Mint, and was struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality. To mark the special occasion, the mint's most famous coin series were combined on one motive. The Australian kangaroo, the Australian koala and the world-famous kookaburra can be seen in front of a wickerwork consisting of Australia's national floral emblem. A scroll with the inscription "1899 THE PERTH MINT 2024", as well as the weight, the fineness, the year of issue and the mintmark "P125" to mark the anniversary complete the design. The reverse features the Dan Thorne portrait of King Charles III and the coin's denomination.
The Perth Mint was established on June 20, 1899 at the height of the Western Australian gold rush and played an important role in the development of Western Australia's economy as a producer of refined gold. In 1989, the Perth Mint first minted a coin featuring the Australian Kangaroo, originally known as the Australian Nugget. This coin program remains one of the most popular with collectors and investors today. Later additions to the official Australian bullion coin program are the Australian Kookaburra and the Australian Koala. The mintage is limited to 7,500 pieces worldwide.
