Characteristics:

The idea of the smartphone endoscope adapter is to allow the endoscope to be used anywhere, anytime.

This is achieved by the smartphone camera which is very similar in quality to professional endoscope cameras.

The advantage of this portable system is that it is small in size, as the entire system can be carried in your bag.

It is also very useful in the process of teaching/learning, recording, storing and sharing recorded endoscope images.

The low price of our system makes it available to all practicing physicians who use endoscopes in their daily practice.

The new smartphone endoscope adapter has the advantage of connecting to different smartphone models unlike the previous adapter which was compatible with only one smartphone model.

This allows you to update your smartphone without worrying about changing the adapter.

How to use:

Connect the smartphone adapter with your smartphone and endoscope (you will need to align the endoscope  with the phone's "main" camera in most phones).

We recommend the "open camera" app for Android phones and the "ei pro" app for iPhone models. These apps allow manual focus control and manual exposure control (necessary for sharp endoscopic images)

A small circle of the endoscope image will appear on the screen and you will need to zoom in to fill your smartphone screen with the endoscope image.

NOTE:

- Holding the phone-endoscope system only by the light source or phone should be avoided – but hold together by holding the endoscope and phone at the same time – this is to avoid accidental slipping of the endoscope from the adapter and damage to the endoscope or smartphone, as in the images.

-  The quality of the image produced depends mainly on two factors: the diameter of the endoscope and the quality of the smartphone camera.

- You can check the quality of the image produced before making the purchase by positioning the endoscope eyepiece in front of the center of your smartphone's camera and checking its quality using the apps mentioned above.

- Please do not use the built-in Android camera app because it does not provide control of white balance, exposure or focus which may mislead that your smartphone is not compatible, but the "open camera" app " offers the best results.

- The phone adapter is not autoclavable. To use the device in clean procedures, you will need to wrap the adapter with sterile gloves or other sterile covering.
