At least 15 years old, but in generally good outward condition (no problems with the scanner whatsoever).

The printer is not currently working - the problem seems to be with the waste ink pads, and is apparently a common problem with the age of the printer.  I think they can possibly be replaced/removed and cleaned, but the cost of this process may not be worth it.  The printer is being sold for parts.

HOWEVER: The scanner works perfectly, is fully operational.  I have the original CD-ROM with the software to use the scanner unit (shown in the final picture), and the unit has a standard USB cable connection (included - see pictures).  You could use this as a scanner, without using the printer at all.
