The Works of the famous Mexican jewelry designer and silversmith Salvador Teran are rare and highly collectible. Salvador Teran (1920-1974) was born in Taxco, Mexico and received his early training at William Spratling's Taller de Las Delicias. In 1939 he and his cousin left Spratling to establish Los Castillo. Salvador later started his own company in Mexico City in 1952. His works were inspired by many pre-Columbian motifs. His superior craftmanship and works became very popular with fine jewelry connoisseurs. He designed for prestigious Marbel department store in Mexico City.


Full parure from Mexican modernist designer Salvador Teran. This ornate set consists of necklace, bracelet, brooch, and earrings. All pieces are set in 22 gold filled metal. The set is from Teran's "Mayan Gold" collection which was released in 1960 exclusively for Marbel Department Store which was the most fashionable store in its time.


Each piece features an inset face made of a black plastic material. Condition is very good to excellent.
