This vintage country landscape features a small cabin on a river or creek, surrounded by a lush, colorful fall forest.   The medium is oil on canvas, mounted on wood, and framed.  It is landscape orientation, measures about 15 inches in height and is approximately 18 3/4 inches wide.  It is signed "PEARL".  I could not find any information on the artist.

This cabin-in-the-woods scene is beautifully executed in shades of yellow, gold, orange, red, sky blue, taupe, charcoal, and gray with touches of white.  The foliage is painted in a pseudo-impressionistic style, but the overall feel of the painting is country folk - vibrant, elegant and simplistic.  The frame is very rustic solid wood with a cherry (I think) stain and satin varnish.  I don't know the exact age of the piece, but can date it to the 1950's - 1960's with the 90 cent price sticker on the canvas board used for the painting (see photo).  The canvas is mounted to the frame with tiny nails (see photo).  Not ideal, but they are part of the originality of the artwork, so I have not re-mounted it.

Measures 15" x 18 3/4 " (framed). The (canvas) picture itself is in excellent condition, with no visible stains, tears, or holes. Colors are vibrant and vivid. The frame has some very minimal normal wear, but no significant scratches ,scuffs or gouges. The hanging bracket and wire are secure and sturdy. Please see photos for more details.

Every effort will be made to minimize the environmental impact of packing and shipping each item.
