Brilliant collection of short stories including the weird tale "John Prettyman's Fourth Dimension". Ida Alexa Ross Wylie (1885-1959) worked on The Suffragette magazine and was active in support of the Women's Suffrage Movement before moving to Hollywood to make her living as a short story writer. Several of her tales were used in Hollywood movies.

Original cloth hardback with black titles to spine. No dustwrapper. 305 pages with Mills and Boon catalogue to rear. 7.75 inches by 5.5 inches. In attractive condition, with light wear and bumping, and fading to the spine (see pictures). Prize plate to front endpaper. Light toning to the page edges. Binding sound and square. A nice clean copy. Scarce.
