FILTER FABRICS
Currently, production motorcycles are typically equipped with paper air filters, while high-performance motorcycles use oil-soaked cotton or sponge air filters. One job of the air filter is to ensure good air flow while preventing significant particles from ending up in the engine. These two operations are naturally opposed to each other and this is where Sprint Filter's polyester filter fabric takes a leap over the others. Sprint Filter polyester fabrics are extremely permeable, stable and do not wrinkle during construction. Cotton or sponge air filters, on the other hand, have a texture that depends on the overlapping of numerous layers, resulting in poor flow in some areas and ineffective filtration in others.

INNOVATIVE
The innovative SPRINT FILTER P08 polyester filter stands out from all special cotton filters due to the greater passage of air, combined with greater filtering power and ease of maintenance.

HIGH AIR PASSAGE
It is clear from the graphs that the passage of air compared to that of a common special cotton air filter is significantly higher. The increase in air and performance compared to a common special cotton air filter is mainly due to two fundamental factors: the filtering material made up of a polyester structure and the higher folds of the filter itself. This last feature allows you to obtain the maximum filtering surface on the filters
panel (20 mm), all to benefit the passage of air and the quality of dust filtration.
The total absence of oil to retain dust also allows for greater air entry for the same surface area. Furthermore, considering that the filtering surface is very large, there is an increase in flow of approximately 25% compared to a cotton filter, to the benefit of engine performance and the protection ensured by greater filtration.

VERY HIGH FILTERING POWER
In addition to a high air passage, the SPRINT FILTER P08 ensures a very high filtering power: 80 microns, managing to retain 93.13%
of 100 micron particles versus 76.42% of 100 micron particles retained by a cotton filter. This is made possible by the special structure composed of 5 micron diameter wires that intertwine, leaving space for a large free surface through which air passes.
The special structure obtained creates a texture with dimensions of 80 microns. Unlike a cotton air filter soaked in oil to retain impurities, the filtering power and the passage of air remains constant over time: the cotton air filter requires periodic re-oiling which does not ensure
the same filtering power and air passage as our P08. Furthermore, it should be clarified that the duration of oil on a cotton air filter during normal use is very short despite the protection of the engine.

EASY MAINTENANCE
Thanks to its almost indestructible structure, the SPRINT FILTER P08 air filter can be washed with any detergent, blown with compressed air and reassembled immediately, without any need to purchase additional maintenance kits or having to wait for it to dry and then
having to oil it. It is a dry filter so it absolutely does not need to be added with oil, the maintenance process is therefore quick and simple
(2 minutes after opening the airbox).

FILTER FABRICS
As is evident from the photographs taken under the microscope, the cotton filter is composed of very thick yarns, while the polyester filter (P08) is
composed of much smaller and micronically calibrated yarns. Thanks to this type of construction the polyester fabric allows for better
filtration combined with excellent air permeability, as can be seen from the tests carried out. It is necessary to say that regarding the cotton fabric
the results obtained were not constant, this is due to the weak and mobile structure of the cotton gauze, the following data are however the best obtained. Regarding the polyester fabric, the data has always remained constant and precise.
