As pictured, this is a subtle but absolutely exquisite and one of a kind bridal gown, by Benjamin Roberts. Label states size is 16 but I had it altered to fit, as a guide I'm 5'2" and at the time was a size 12/14, 34C.

Firstly the gown is a 2 piece comprising separate skirt and bodice, I guess it could be made into a one piece dress if preferred. The fabric is a heavyweight ivory satin with a repeated pale gold swirling embroidery and pearl/mother of pearl effect beading and embellishment in a floral design, this repeats all around the edge of the skirt and train and covers the bodice. The A-line and asymmetrical style of this dress give it a sophistication and unique style compared to a lot of other gowns I've seen, but I'm possibly a little biased 😊 

Bodice: The bodice itself is boned to keep shape, the bones at the waist may have curved with sitting on the day so may just need re-shaping or bending back. The bodice is quite a unique and unusual strapless design, it's asymmetric on the neckline and has a little cut out notch, this makes the gown really striking and I haven't seen much else like it. It's edged all around with little pearl beads and fastens with a back zip. Approx. Measurements are pit to pit 42cm, width at waist 40cm, laid flat with the bust dart facing out is 44cm width. Length is 25cm at the side seams and approx 43 cm from top point of notch to hem.

Skirt: The skirt is A-line shaped and has a wraparound draped section at the front coming up from the hem to the waist on one side. This is continues the asymmetric style of the dress and co-ordinates to the bodice. The skirt extends to a subtle rounded train at the back, I had a little hook sewn on the back of the skirt to hook it up as a bustle without a train for the evening, this has come away but with no damage to the dress and can easily be re-instated for a different look. The embroidery and embellishment goes all the way around the skirt and train as pictured, skirt is lined and layered with net to give a little volume and accentuate the A-line style. Approx measurements: length at front waist to hem is 108cm, back length waist to end of train is 210cm, waist is 38cm width laid flat.

Also included is the hoop to give extra skirt volume but is optional really depending on the look you want, hoop is 70cm diameter and overall 105cm long. I will also send in the long length garment bag as pictured. The gown was professionally dry cleaned after the wedding day and has been stored in its cover since.

Given the value of the item I will post fully insured by Royal Mail Special Delivery, hence the postage price reflects this.

The gown has only been worn once, on my wedding day. I co-ordinated it with a gold wire & crystal fascinator and gold trimmed fine veil which I'm also selling. It's in very good condition with no marks and has been stored carefully, obviously it's just creased from storage. I'm very sad to part with it but it made me feel so sophisticated and special on my big day, maybe it can help someone else feel special too rather than sitting in the attic 😊
