Reconditioned Smiths 'KMH' speedometer possibly fitted to some Jaguar Mk 2 3.4/3.8 Litre and 340's but please double check exact fitment as there were 'loads' of different versions fitted to old Jaguars!

The Speedo has been 'fully' stripped, all mechanical parts have been ultrasonically cleaned/inspected and any worn/damaged parts replaced where necessary. The casing etc have been blasted/painted and the glass and seals have been replaced. The speedo has also been bench tested and recalibrated (including remagnetizing the magnet as appropriate) so I can confirm it works correctly. All in excellent condition. Note that the odometer was reset prior to a final test, the odometer can be set to a specific mileage if required (please send me a message after payment has been made...... and before I crimp the bezel on!)

The Smiths part number on the face is SN 6317/14 followed by 820 so please double check exact fitment as numerous variations were fitted. The important number to note is the '820' as this relates to the internal gearing of the speedometer and needs to be correct for your vehicle (including diff ratio, tyre size etc).

Unfortunately my Smiths catalogue does not include KMH versions. 820 'turns per kilometre' is equivalent to 1312 'turns per mile', so I suspect this is the KMH version of the SN 6317/04 speedo which was fitted to the following but please do double check suitability:-
