This is my own, damaged, Nikon HK-22 Lens Hood which is designed for use with the Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 D AF-S Lens. Please note that this hood has previously sustained some damage, it has had a very basic home repair, but it can still be used. It is made in Japan and is compatible with Nikon F lenses. This lens hood is designed for controlling the amount of light that enters their lens and to prevent flare and ghosting effects.

This lens hood is listed as SPARES OR REPAIRS because it has been previously damaged. It was dropped and landed on the grip screw which cracked its mount and came loose.  It has had a very basic and totally amateur repair with a two part epoxy resin.  This works, mostly, but please be aware that you'll need to take care with it.  I used it with a neoprene camo coat/cover which gave me extra confidence when i used it. 

This is a circular type hood and is a genuine Nikon product.
