1929 ‘Lady Doris’ (aka 'Princess') Silver Plated flatware
It has a bail and clasp on the back so it
can be worn as a pendant on a chain or as a pin
Light weight and measures approximately 1 3/4” x 2 1/2”

This pattern is also known by the name, ‘Princess’
The different names were due to marketing techniques

In America, during the late part of the 1880s thru the early 1960s, Sunday was a special day
where the all the family gathered around the dinner table for a fancier meal
…using the family china and silver plated flatware
Families would pass down the china & silver plated flatware from generation to generation
…'family keepsakes'
Demand for silver plated flatware was so great, that between 1890 and 1940, as many as 40 patterns were introduced every year…and most were only made for one year as the manufacturer
had a replacement pattern ready to hit the market for the next season

The International Silver Company was formed in 1898 by various independent
silversmiths that joined themselves together to form a company that became the world’s
largest manufacturer of silverware
