• This bag measures a generous 17½" x 4" and includes the Jersey Mike's slogan "Famous since '56."



• This bag was designed to hold a Jersey Mike's giant size submarine sandwich, an offering known by other names in other places — a grinder in New England, a hoagie in Philadelphia, a hero in New York, and a po'boy in New Orleans.



• Condition:  It is in excellent condition, bright and clean, with no rips, tears, or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.



• This bag features an outline map of the Garden State and is clearly not the oldest or rarest among our recently listed maps, but more of a curiosity or novelty, one of the many forms and variations in which maps can be enjoyed as collectibles and objects of interest in a range of categories including maps on postcards, placemats, napkins, postage stamps, tee shirts, key fobs, shower curtains, ashtrays, refrigerator magnets, jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards.



• A bit of background:  Jersey Mike’s originally began as Mike's Subs in 1956 and was popular among beachgoers who visited the Jersey shore. An employee subsequently bought the business, opened a few more Mike's Subs, and later began franchising. In 1987 the business was rebranded as Jersey Mike's, to better connect the chain with its roots in Point Pleasant.
