Chernihiv factory of musical instruments named after Pavel Pustyshev (Ukrainian Chernigiv factory of musical institutes im. P.P. Postishev) - nowadays non-existent musical and furniture
The construction of the factory began in 1933 and was completed in 1934. The official launch of the factory took place on November 8, 1934.

A furniture factory was built nearby in 1936.

During the German occupation, the factory was destroyed, but after the war, its restoration began. The first post-war production was 550 children's musical toys. Also, in 1945, the factory mastered the production of mandolins, and in 1946 - began the production of guitars.

Until 1950, the factory produced exclusively stringed musical instruments, and in 1950, with the assistance of specialists from the Leningrad Musical Instrument Factory, it mastered the production of the piano.
In 1955, the USSR’s first conveyor for assembling and tuning keyboard musical instruments was put into operation [- a new piano came off every 12 minutes from a 100-meter conveyor belt. Also in 1955, the factory mastered the production of a small-sized piano.

In 1956, an association of a music and furniture factory was created on the basis of musical instrument and furniture factories. Production capacities increased, which allowed putting into operation a conveyor for the production of piano mechanisms.

Also, in 1956 a museum of musical instruments was created.

In 1965, piano production was increased to 25,000 pieces per year.

In 1970 (pieces) were produced: 26,300 pianos, 75,900 guitars, 16,500 balalaikas, 1,500 banduras.

As of the beginning of 1985, the company had 33 production lines, 3 automatic lines, 8 mechanized production lines and 5 complex-mechanized sections. The factory produced 40 types of products, including piano (26 thousand pieces per year), plucked instruments (up to 110 thousand pieces of guitars, banduras and balalaikas per year), dulcimers, sets of mechanics and keyboards for pianos, as well as children's wooden and musical toys, household products and souvenirs
