Chinese Porcelain Blue and White Ming Dynasty Dish
of circular form and panel-molded sides, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, the central cartouche with two ducks, one in flight, in a pond/lake landscape with one standing in the shade of lotus and other aquatic plants, surrounded by rocks. Above the standing duck insect hovers. The scene is enclosed within a border decorated with a fish scale pattern divided by a T pattern, the wide rim with eight
molded panels decorated with auspicious objects including stylized peaches and other Taoist, Buddhist, and Precious objects, each shaped panel separated by narrow vertical bands decorated with further precious objects. The back with further eight stylised panels divided by narrow bands.
Characteristic fritting to the rim. Some damage to two panels. See photos. Warrants repair with modern adhesive. Price has regard to this.
