This beautiful vase is a stunning example of contemporary British studio art glass. Created by the talented Anthony Stern, this baluster-form vase features a very dark bronze iridescent colourway and a white metal collar. With its hand-blown glass production technique and handmade quality, this vase is an original piece that is sure to be a striking addition to any collection.
The vase is signed to the base by the artist and is an original production from the late 20th century, I believe between 1990-1999.
Anthony passed away in February 2022, beautiful glass art works are still being produced at the studio by his son Patrick.
The vase has a clear glass scalloped foot and a flared, smooth rim.
It is 13 cm tall and 8 cm diameter at bulb, in very good condition with no damage issues.
I have another 3 similar pieces shown in the last 3 images. the lighter bronze vase is by Anthony Stern and the other two, in pink and blue glass are from Mark Alder of Orange Glow Glass Studio, Yorkshire, England. The other 3 vases are not part of this auction and are available in separate listings.
