Maker: This striking bone china charger plate is by the highly regarded European maker Villeroy & Boch, the world’s largest manufacturer of ceramics.

V&B has been in business for over 260 years. It is justifiably famous for producing fine luxury tableware and this charger is no exception.

Design: The striking pattern - with its dramatic black design of fruits, flowers, birds, butterflies and musical instruments - is called Intarsia, part of V&B's Chateau Collection. It was produced between 1991 and 2002.

The charger plate would be useful as a serving platter, chop plate, a large dinner plate or a wonderful display piece.

Condition: The original labels remain on the back and the plate appears to be unused. It's in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, crazing or wear. On the edge are what appear to be three small manufacturing flaws - spots where the glaze is missing and that feel slightly rough. They aren't visible when the plate is in use or on display. An example is shown in the photo with the red arrow.

Size: The charger is 11 3/4 inches wide and weighs 2 pounds 1 ounce.

Please check all the photos very carefully – they're an important part of the description.
