This was great 27 hours in the making. At least I know if I'm ever stranded on a runway I can make a tiara from scratch.
From the bottom 14" base is 1940 beaded agora sweater. My daughter suggested sideways it looked like a crown. next is row of vintage roses with new gold tone centers & baby white faux pearls. All the gold & pearls are fake but they sure look & feel real. next are two wide gold twine & pearl earrings. In the center is a 1930 brooch. still in tack. Although it looks like metal, it is not metal, it is some kind of gilded plaster is my guess, (as part of it even tarnished green)! Next row is 3 left facing & 3 right facing root beer glass & camphor glass with tinge of mirror pink in gold tone vintage filigree settings. (Most items are double sewed & glued).
And the big show at the top is genuine hand carved Vintage shell cameo Marie Antoinette style with long hanging curls in new gold tone filigree setting with whit & gold pearls & brown & yellow glittering crystals. I
